Summer is here (almost) and I’ve officially gone Vamp! Lorde has really started something with her gothic look-pale skin, dark hair, and deep, dark, purple lip-Gothic-Chic. . .Are you feeling it? Lorde for MAC hits this week and I wasn’t too sure if this hue was for me, so I decided to test out a few others, like Volga  and Train Bleu , both by Nars. I even took it waay old school and pulled out my MAC Diva! Yes, I still own my Diva from college, crazy, I know, but I learned a trick from the ladies at the Nars counter: you can still use an old ( I mean very old) lipstick, just shave the top layer off. If the lipstick does not crumble, you are good to go. Reason being? Lipstick oxidizes from the top, where it has been exposed, but the inner part of it is good until it has hit the air!! Who knew!!!

If you’re feeling so inclined to go a little vamp this summer, you might visit your local Nordstrom’s and check out Violet Incognito, Royal, and Violet Fatale!
