A Visit to Scribe Winery
A few weeks ago I went on a little weekend getaway with my high school besties. We took a quick trip to Northern Cal…Berkley and Napa to be more specific. And of course, when in Napa, a wine tasting is a must. Instead of visiting several wineries and getting totally wasted, we just went to one…and still got wasted. Needless to say, good times were had.
Our wine tasting took us to Scribe Winery. We dubbed Scribe as a “hipster” winery. The tasting was set outside at picnic tables on a hillside overlooking their vineyards. There were swings hanging from trees and a small area of “help yourself” farm fresh veggies all set amongst beautifully stacked wine barrels. We sampled their Riesling, two different Chardonnay’s and Pinot Noir, which they served with sweet sliced peaches, cheese, crackers and cucumbers sprinkled with their own salt blend. De-li-cious. The rustic feel led to the ease and charm of the place where we lost track of time and our wine consumption.
Of course, I couldn’t leave without ordering some wine for the hubby. We were both excited when this package arrived in the mail and I can’t wait for him to taste their delicious Pinot Noir.
